"Success comes from a mix of strategic thinking, an operator's mindset, exceptional execution, and executive and cross-functional collaboration. And not only do I do that myself, but I build and develop teams around me that perform at the highest level and have fun along the way."
My career spans both sides of the marketing world — agency and corporate — giving me a perspective that's hard to come by. I understand how to run a lean, client-focused operation with urgency and creativity, and I know how to build and scale an enterprise marketing function that drives revenue at a global level.
I've led marketing across a wide range of organizations — from a $17.8B Fortune 500 to companies with no marketing infrastructure whatsoever. Whether building from zero or transforming an existing engine, my approach is the same: get clear on strategy, build the right team, move with intention, and tie everything back to results.
Beyond the boardroom, I'm passionate about helping the next generation close the gap between marketing theory and real-world execution. Through both mentoring programs and my own hires, I've seen the gap firsthand. College students need a lab environment where they can work through actual marketing challenges using current marketing technology including AI. And I want to make that happen.
Off the clock, you'll find me on a bike trail, hiking a canyon, paddle boarding at sunrise, or somewhere new exploring something I haven't tried yet.

Years of agency and corporate marketing leadership
"We needed a transformational leader who could reimagine the brand, our value, and convey the vision into actionable marketing outcomes. Within eighteen months, Lisel didn't just refresh our image — she built a powerful marketing engine. She delivered a transformative brand vision that resonated with the market, our customers, and that internal teams could rally behind. She cultivated a stellar marketing team and brought incredible discipline as well as innovation to the art and science of marketing. Lisel is the type of leader who creates an environment where teams can do their best work while feeling genuinely supported and inspired. She had an outsized positive impact on the company's brand and growth."
"Lisel is strategically innovative — forward-thinking in how she imagines what's possible — yet exceptionally meticulous and detail-oriented in the way she leads her teams to deliver on every commitment. She has an intuitive understanding of how brand, business objectives, and audience insights intersect. What truly sets Lisel apart is her dual ability to guide executives toward the right, brand-defining decisions while simultaneously bringing out the very best work in marketing teams at every level. She inspires trust, raises the bar, and creates clarity."
"Engaging Lisel and Gig Marketing Group was a game-changer for our business. Lisel's ability to quickly align with our vision and needs was impressive. Her streamlined approach made the entire process seamless and highly effective. The collaborative effort led to outstanding marketing materials that exceeded our expectations and resonated well with our clients."
"Relaunching our non-profit brand required a true partnership and thoughtful planning — Gig Marketing delivered all of that and more. Their team brought the perfect blend of expertise and a collaborative spirit, making the entire process seamless. We are ecstatic with our results and strongly recommend them to others looking for a true partner."
My teaching philosophy is that the best way to learn marketing is to practice it. Conceptual frameworks matter — but they come alive when students work through real situations: developing personas, choosing a channel mix under budget constraints, responding to a campaign that underperformed, or presenting results to a skeptical executive.
I've consistently seen a gap between what graduates know and what modern marketing roles demand — from ABM and full-funnel demand gen to martech stacks and AI in campaign execution. My goal as an instructor is professional readiness: for students to leave the room and immediately apply what they've learned.
Real-World Curriculum
Courses grounded in actual campaigns, live case studies, and measurable outcomes — not just theory.
Modern Marketing Fluency
From AI-powered analytics to ABM and full-funnel demand gen — the tools students will use on day one.
Mentorship-First Mindset
The same care I bring to high-performing teams, I bring to students — developing confidence alongside capability.
"The traditional agency retainer model is broken — and most companies know it."
You shouldn't pay for 40 hours a week when you need 10 hours of genius. The gig economy fixed this everywhere else. Marketing is next.
"Vanity metrics are the junk food of marketing reporting."
Impressions and follower counts feel great until someone in the boardroom asks what they did for pipeline. KPIs need to tie to real business outcomes — full stop.
"Brand is not a logo. It's the one thing you make people feel."
I built a brand for 100,000+ employees across 17 countries — not with a huge budget, but with clarity and genuine cultural investment.
"Marketing textbooks are already out of date by the time they're printed."
The best marketing education uses live campaigns, real tools, and actual failure stories. Theory without context produces graduates who freeze in the real world.
"Sales and marketing alignment isn't a nice-to-have. It's a revenue strategy."
When GTM flows from shared data and shared KPIs, that's when 272% pipeline growth happens. Siloes are expensive.
"Culture isn't a perk. It's a performance variable."
Teams — and students — that feel genuinely supported do their best work. Record-high eNPS scores don't happen by accident.
Gig Marketing Group is the on-demand brand and marketing agency I built because I watched too many great companies get trapped in models that weren't designed for the way business actually moves. Flexible support. Vetted talent. Real results.
